Levitation Photography
These are some shots from today, I've finally got around to attempting levitation style photography -- I tried to focus on getting one good shot rather than 20 okay ones - which I felt was more effective than my usual goal of filling a memory card.. Anyway I really enjoyed this one!

Banksia
The next instalment for my major: features Selina. These were taken in an abandoned mansion in Banksia. It was most likely illegal to be on this premises, but the view was worth the fence climb and ripped dress. I guess it adds character. Anyway Selina really tried to portray a mental mindset for me, but I think she is just too sweet to do so.

Cigarettes and Russian Tea
This is part of my final major in Art, unlike painting or a lot of other forms of art I really find it hard to find meaning in my photo's. It's basically what it is, and I sort of resent that about photography - even though I have seen a lot of breathe taking photos that really do appear to have a conscious. I have written an artist statement for this, it includes the coming photographs of Selina as well. I have basically pulled this statement out of my ass (I will post it when the final photographs are displayed), but I'd like to think that one day the photo's I take will have true meaning to them, like so many of the artist's I admire.

Winter and Three Quarters
A little experimenting going on here, nothing too crazy - just trying to steer away from fashion and editorial inspired photography. Big thanks to Zara for putting up with going to the same place twice!

Zara and Brody
This was a nice weekend, Brody lives in Byron so its always good when he visits and I always love seeing Zara. I'm fairly sure this was my first attempt at using long exposures, half-decently. And we were all half-assedly changing the settings. A somewhat communal contribution went into these shots.

Woodford Limited Successes
After many delayed photo plans in the past week, Georgia and I finally got our shit together and went to Woodford to get some shots. These didn't turn out exactly as planned, after driving around looking for a location for a little longer than expected we stopped at this little church-like building. Actually it probably was a church. The lighting was unkind so we spotted some ladies heading inside for a belly dance lesson of some kind and decided to stay.. Unfortunately, they weren't too happy dancing in front of my camera and I - so I ended up shooting at my house, got some alright shots.. Georgia's boobs are nice and photogenic so I was happy about that, everyone likes a good boob.
